Music Director Lee Mills and the Greenville Symphony Orchestra are pleased to announce the following auditions:
PRINCIPAL DOUBLE BASS
Per service position – estimated minimum services for 2025-2026 season = 82
$134.68 principal per service rate ($129.68 fee + $5 Electronic Media Compensation per service – mileage and per diem, paid when applicable)
PRINCIPAL PERCUSSION
Per service position – estimated minimum services for 2025-2026 season = 74

BASS TROMBONE
Per service position – estimated minimum services for 2025-2026 season = 64
$104.75 section per service rate ($99.75 fee + $5 Electronic Media Compensation per service – mileage and per diem, paid when applicable)

Audition Dates are June 3-6, 2025
A one (1) page resume clearly marked with AUDITION, JUNE 2025 must be received in the GSO office by Monday, April 14, 2025.
An application and additional information will be sent after your resume is received.

If invited to audition, a $75 deposit (postmarked by May 8, 2025) is required to secure an audition time (check made payable to Greenville Symphony Orchestra, refunded at the time of audition or if notice of cancellation is received by Thursday, May 15, 2025). Please do not send this check with your resume.

Greenville Symphony Internship Program
The Greenville Symphony is excited to offer in-person internships to local students. Our program creates an opportunity for college students to experience the day-to-day tasks of running a professional orchestra. Interns will learn about all parts of the organization with the opportunity to focus on one department. We are seeking highly motivated, outgoing, and organized individuals with a positive outlook and a ‘can-do’ attitude!
The Greenville Symphony is looking for students to work in the office over the summer. The summer internship program runs from the end of May to the beginning of August. For the 2025 summer, we are seeking students interested in Marketing, Social Media, PR, Event Planning, and Fundraising.
